We are seeking a highly experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist to join our client's team in a demanding steel manufacturing/forging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a strong health, safety, and environmental culture, ensuring legal compliance, reducing operational risk, and supporting safe, efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain HSE systems aligned with the OHS Act, ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
  • Conduct risk assessments and plant safety inspections
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action processes
  • Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems (LOTO, hot work, confined space, lifting operations)
  • Drive HSE training and awareness programmes
  • Monitor environmental compliance and SHEQ initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to PPE and workplace safety standards

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ HSE experience in steel manufacturing, forging, foundry, or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and ISO standards
  • Strong reporting, investigation, and people management skills
