Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert policy advice on labour market dynamics, employment legislation, and social protection.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on social policy issues to inform decision-making.
- Represent the organization in national and international policy forums, including Nedlac and the ILO.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government, business, labour, and civil society stakeholders.
- Draft policy briefs, reports, and submissions to influence labour and social policy outcomes.
- Interpret legislative, regulatory, and socio-economic developments impacting labour and social affairs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in labour market and social policy.
- Deep understanding of South Africa’s labour relations framework, social dialogue institutions, and international labour standards.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders across government, business, and labour.
- Experience representing organizations in high-level policy forums nationally and internationally.
